TRAINING

One element that makes the Nightmare at Beaver Lake” so successful is the training provided to our volunteers.  We offer many opportunities from which you can choose, depending on your area, or areas, of interest.  Although a some may have prerequisites, most are open to all of our volunteers.  These opportunities are discussed during Orientation.

In addition to Volunteer Orientation, several job-specific trainings are offered each year prior to the show.  You may attend any or all of these specialized trainings, depending on your area(s) of interest and your ability to meet requirements (Please see notations under each training).

We need people to help construct the show, both in workshop during the year, and on-site in the Fall.  We also need a lot of help de-constructing the show after Halloween.  We have a short time to exit the park and can use many extra hands to help us out.

Confirmation of volunteer hours is available to those the need it.  If you have any questions about volunteering with the show, or have specific questions regarding Acting and Casting positions, please contact Penny at Renwickp@comcast.net or Jeannie Peck at jemerypec@yahoo.com.

Summer Events
It has been a very busy summer for the NIGHTMARE crew, we started the summer by HAUNTING Seattle's horror convention CRYPTICON 2011 like only we can!! It went extremely well, and plans for 2012 are already taking place!! We also took part in helping Seattle re-claim the GUINESS WORLD RECORD zombie walk title. We brought yet another outstanding boat to the Milk Carton Derby and were present at some Tilted Thunder roller derby events doing live make up demos - and we, of course, let our actors loose to torment the attendees at ALL events!! As you can tell, we have been very, very busy making sure everyone knows who we are and why we do it, and have created quite the buzz!!

HUGE thanks to all the dedicated volunteers who made this happen. Without all of you, this truly would not have been possible. If you would like to volunteer next year during any of our summer events be sure to let us know!!
